Reminders, in the channel the work happens in

Remindster keeps recurring obligations out of one person’s head. Connect a Slack channel and the ones that matter to your team arrive there, on time, with a link back to the reminder itself.

Add to Slack

You will be asked to sign in to Remindster first, then to pick the channel.

What arrives

A message when a reminder is due, carrying its title, the date it was due, and a link that opens it. Nothing else is posted to the channel: no digests, no activity feed, no bot chatter.

One permission

Remindster asks for incoming-webhookand nothing more. That lets it post to the single channel you choose while installing. It cannot read messages, list your channels, or see anyone’s profile.

Alongside everything else

A channel is a recipient like a person is. Add it to a reminder next to the people who should know, and everyone is notified at the same moment. Each person keeps their own email and browser notifications.

Setting it up

  1. Press Add to Slack. Sign in to Remindster if you are not already.
  2. Slack asks which workspace and channel to post to. Pick one and confirm.
  3. Remindster posts a short confirmation to that channel immediately. If you see it, the connection works.
  4. Add the channel as a recipient on any reminder, the same way you add a person.

Removing it

Remove the app from Slack, or delete the channel under Notification channels in Remindster. Either works. Removing it from the Slack side tells us, and the stored webhook is deleted straight away.
